Delete your Murlz account
Delete your Murlz account
You can permanently delete your Murlz account and associated data in the app or request deletion by email.
Deleting or uninstalling the app by itself does not delete your account.
Delete in the app
Open Murlz, go to Profile → Delete Account, and confirm DELETE. This is the fastest and most secure method. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Request deletion without the app
Email murlzapp@gmail.com with the subject:
Murlz account deletion request
Please include:
your unique Murlz display name;
whether your account is anonymous or linked to Google or Apple;
if linked, the email address associated with that sign-in, where available;
any additional details that may help us locate and verify your account.
If your account is linked, please send the request from the associated email address whenever possible.
Do not send passwords, access tokens, verification codes, or other secret information. We may request additional information to verify that the account belongs to you. We will confirm receipt of your request and notify you when deletion is complete.
What is deleted
Account deletion removes:
your authentication account;
your Murlz profile and display name;
your Marks and their geospatial placement data;
your progression and activity history;
achievements, Sparks, Respect, and discoveries associated with your account;
reports and moderation records attached to your deleted Marks.
What may be retained
Reports you submitted about other users’ Marks may remain in anonymized form, without a link to your account, so that existing moderation decisions remain valid.
If an account is subject to moderation sanctions when deleted, a one-way hashed device identifier may be retained to prevent ban evasion.
Limited information may also be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backups, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Photos and videos saved by Murlz to your device gallery are stored locally and are not removed by account deletion. You can delete them manually from your device.
After deletion, your account and deleted content cannot be restored.
